EC135 "Flying Bulls"
(Revell - Nr. 05724)
The EC-135 is the corporate helicopter in the "Flying Bulls" collection. It serves as a VIP bird and is therefore equipped with a classy leather interior in light tan colours.
Those who expected to see the new tooled kit of the EC-135 being released first as this variant may be disappointed - as you can see - it is the old kit with all its flaws.
The basic mould is around for some 17 years now and is defentiely worn out. Some sprues came with the following versions (German Army, Police variants). The latter sprues are better and contain most of the parts you need for an at least somewhat correct apperance of the helicopter.
With some vital parts (e.g. fenestron blades) is flash and also the representation of the exhaust tubes is rather poor. The front windshield doesn't fit very well, filling and sanding is to be expected in this sensitive area.
Forget part no. 59: It doesn't exist on any EC-135 from serial production.
Most impressive is the list of errors with this kit - see below:
Decals for:EC-135 T2, s/n 0470, OE-XFB, "The Flying Bulls", Salzburg Airport, Austria 2012.
Well-meant as a starter/gift set, but due to some fitting issues this one could be a frustrating build and is certainly not suitable for the absolute beginner.
Personal advice: If you're interested in this particular version, geht the kit for the decals and wait for the newly tooled one. This one will be a quantum leap ahead.
